Having both been born and raised in Seattle, WA, where city meets the sea, we continue this collection looking to represent the foundation, culture and ideas throughout the region. Founded as a timber town and named after a prominent Native American, Chief Sealth (Si'ahl), the city has grown and changed over the years, but the idea to preserve and nurture the nature in the area, has remained within the people. Whether taking a stroll down Pike Place Market, a water taxi from Seattle to Alki, a Ferry to Bainbridge Island, or grabbing a bite to eat on Elliot Bay, the presence of the Puget Sound can not go unnoticed, especially when accompanied by the sighting of an Orca whale. For our second design in the Seattle Roots collection, we wanted bring together the founding cultures of Seattle by blending a modernized Native American art style, with an urban graffiti tag, and the most beloved Sea Creature of the region. It is here where we present to you, the SEA Whale.
